Proven Steel Protection Projects Across Diverse Industries

The project started in the early spring of 2016 and they needed a coating they could work with in the cold, or wet weather of the Mid-West. The County has been using galvanized steel on their local bridges and they knew the performance and cost savings it would have.

The structural steel is in upstate New York. The winters are very hard on the structural steel of anything exposed to the elements.

The School needed a Maintenance free structural pedestrian bridge that could be erected before the fall semester started. Galvanized Steel was the only coating system they felt would not hinder their schedule.

The corrosion protection of the steel was the main reason for hot-dip galvanizing. The economics and the time that the steel could be finished was probably the most influential selling point to use all galvanized material on this project.

The engineer on this project is a pro-galvanizing guy. He like the aesthetics as it contrast with the lumber used.

They needed a economical, durable coating system. HDG is exactly what they specified and they were convinced of the corrosion protection needed from previous work experiences.

This is a Data Center that supports Penn State University. The building is in a rural part of Pennsylvania, where the weather can be very aggressive.

Galvanized Steel was selected for the corrosion protection. They were concerned with corrosion staining over the years to come onto the stone, brick, and mason work that was to be done for all of the walkways.

This job was 9 million pounds that needed to be completed in less than 8 weeks in order for the customer to secure the project. Hot dip galvanizing was the only coating system that could make this happen.

This is a Highway Sign welcoming visitor to the popular city of Frankenmuth, Michigan where it is Christmas year round. This highway sign started to be an archway over the freeway.

The Great Lakes Children's Museum was looking for a fun and interactive outdoor play area for the children who were visiting the museum.

Located in The District Detroit, Little Caesars Arena is home to the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons, and also hosts many other sports, entertainment, and community events. The $862 million arena began construction in April 2015 and opened in September 2017.

The timeline for this project was unique as the rooftop structure was being constructed during the current NBA season. The project had to be completed by the time of the NBA playoffs (started in May) and in time to host the Republican National Convention in June.

The ease of completion and the ODNR's previous experience with galvanized product is why the galvanizer was approached for this project. This is for an attraction at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.
