Maybrook Solar

The Challenge, The Solution, The Results
Maybrook 1 & 2 is a fixed-tilt solar system constructed on approximately 45 acres of land just south of Poughkeepsie, NY. This project utilizes the state-of-the-art Titan Duo Fixed-tilt technology system produced by APA Solar Racking. Considering the geographical location of the project, a system was needed that could withstand category 5 hurricane winds of up to 160mph, and snow loads of up to 100 pounds per foot.
Rated at 8 Megawatts, Maybrook 1&2 in Montgomery, NY utilized approx. 35 tons of 73” hot dipped galvanized ground screws as the foundation for the solar racking system. Montgomery is known for harsh weather year-round and rocky terrain, so a solar racking system was needed that could both penetrate the rough soil and perform during the most intense inclement weather. With the lowest part count per MW, the TITAN system offers ease of installation allowing projects to meet tight schedules. From start to finish, the project lasted about 9 months; with finished galvanized screws shipping to the jobsite in January 2025, the system being online in September 2025. A notable benefit is this project has the potential to power 800 homes, which reduces the electricity rates for those consumers.
