Components

The old rail and steel sections of this project were in a terrible, rotted state of corrosion. It was not hard to convince the state that a duplex system of paint-over-hot dip galvanizing was the answer for the rehabilitation. Several reference jobs were submitted to convince that a good performing duplex system could also be the answer to the supplying the look they were after.

The references submitted were inspected for the durability of the coating. Past AGA award winner Eadsd Bridge of St. Louis, Missouri, was inspected, and was very helpful in proving the durability of the coating and the corrosion resistance needed.

The quality of the hot-dip galvanizing was very carefully written into the specification that allowed the fabricator, galvanizer, and owner to be on the same page when design, fabrication, and galvanizing came together. Very good open communication between the fabricator and the galvanizer, thanks to the specification requesting this, was a strong reason for the success of this project. Paint used on the project had to be matched to the 50-plus year old paint used previously.

This project was one of the first bridges in Maine, and carries as much sentimental value as need and practicality.

Purdue University Veterinary Hospital Equine Stalls

The new Veterinary Medical Hospital Complex encompasses more than 160,000 square feet of new hospital space on 13 acres. The new Veterinary Hospital facilities will feature the latest designs and equipment to provide the most advanced level of care and treatment to animal patients.

Richards Brothers Farms

This high-profile greenfield grain bin project in El Campo, TX features two grain loop systems with a total of 9 grain storage bins and 1 load-out hopper tank.

I-75 Auburn Hills

Long time user of hot-dip galvanizing, Future Fence, of Warren, Michigan helped sell the community of Auburn Hills that if he was to construct and deliver their sign, they would only do it if hot-dip galvanizing was involved.

Catalent Pharma Staircase

The Harmans/BWI campus of Catalent Pharma Solutions aids in Gene Therapy clinical manufacturing and laboratory testing. With close to 200,000 square feet, there was room to expand into the second level of part of the facility, which created a need for an exterior staircase.
