Long time user of hot-dip galvanizing, Future Fence, of Warren, Michigan helped sell the community of Auburn Hills that if he was to construct and deliver their sign, they would only do it if hot-dip galvanizing was involved. Experiences with past projects and the comfort level with their local galvanizing company made this an easy decision for the community to persuade the Michigan DOT. The DOT had very little confidence that a piece of Art like their sign and adjoining fence would be able to withstand hot-dip galvanizing.
After the galvanizer with the backing of the fabricator, guaranteed the success of this project, the decision was made to go forward with galvanizing. Now the state DOT is going forward with galvanizing all future highway community signage of this kind.
